I am a Trainee Law Costs Draftsman with 10 years’ experience in the legal costs industry. I joined Duncan Lewis as Legal Costs Negotiator 2013 where I manage a diverse caseload of inter-partes matters for over five years before joining the Costs Law LTD team as a trainee.
Education
I have a certification in Business Economics and Management Accountancy from the University of Orange Free State. I also hold various qualifications in Fine Arts and Illustration and children’s illustration.
Career
I spent a few years running a small wine bar whilst doing freelance illustration work on the side. Seeking stability and regular hours I started working as a receptionist in a small high street legal aid law firm in 2009 and soon progressed into the role of principal billing clerk.
Interests
I continue to try and develop as an illustrator in my spare time, finding endless inspiration in the works of illustrators such Arthur Rackham and the literary works of Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, the Brothers Grimm and other classic gothic works of fiction. I’m an avid reader and have a keen interest in neoclassical and contemporary painting.
It’s a well-known fact that I live with the world’s most beautiful cat.
