Having spent over a decade working for a range of solicitors firms, including Legal 500 and niche boutique firms, as a fee earner specialising in Family and Care cases, together with undertaking internal Legal Aid billing requirements, I decided to make the move to become a Law Costs Draughtsman fulltime. Utilising my understanding of both sides of the industry, it allows me to quickly ascertain the merits of the bill and to ensure costs are maximised under the Legal Aid billing schemes. I am able to prepare bills for assessment by the LAA and also hourly rates & CCFS High Cost Case Plans.
Education
I completed my Law Degree at the University of Huddersfield, achieving a 2:1, and then went on to complete my LPC.
Career
Having completed my Law Degree and Postgraduate Diploma, I began work as a Legal Assistant at a boutique family law firm. Over the course of a decade, I worked in various fee earner roles at different firms, handling a caseload of family law and care cases, including undertaking my own advocacy in the Family Courts.
Interests
In my spare time, I like to see family and friends, travel/visit new places as well as renovate properties.
