I am a Senior Costs Draftsperson with over 10 years’ experience in the legal profession.
Education
I studied at the University of Kent as a mature student and completed the LLB in 2010.
Career
My first role was with Civil and Commercial Cost Lawyers dealing with low value personal injury claims. I then progressed to higher value personal injury and medical negligence claims. I then transferred in-house where I continued to undertake the higher value personal injury claims alongside fixed costs in RTA and EL/PL cases. I worked my way up the ranks and was soon supervising the junior members of staff alongside the team manager.
I joined the Chatham office of Cost Law Services, in June 2019 where I have gained considerable experience in all matters of legal aid and inter-partes costs. This includes immigration, judicial review, care, family and housing matters. In addition to this I have experience in high cost case plans, points of dispute and replies. I aim to progress further and one day attend detailed assessment hearings.
I have been awarded exceptional rates on cases before the Court in inter-partes matters and successfully argued the civil procedure rules and conduct of the paying party to attain the maximum costs award for the client.
Interests
I am a keen musician and can play a number of instruments including flute and piano. I like many sports including football and snooker.
